If you would like to learn how to use traditional Okinawan, Filipino and Chinese weapons tactically in combat, we're the place. If you would like to learn how to weave a weapon through your fingers and perfect tricks for performing with a weapon on a stage, you are also at the right place.
We offer Traditional Weapons classes for those looking for training in the practical application of seven different weapons from around the world. Led by Sensei Sanzin Doriocourt (1st dan), our Traditional Weapons classes feature classic forms, techniques, drills, conditioning, and applications for the bo (staff), nunchaku (nunchuks), eskrima sticks, kama, tonfa (baton), sai, and the sanjiegun (three-section staff).
At Phoenix Rising Martial Arts, we offer Creative Weapons classes for those who wish to learn how to perform with weapons. Under the guidance of Sensei Colton Means (1st dan), you can learn how to create forms and perform tricks with the bo staff, tessen fan, kama, and double-sword. In our Creative Weapons classes, students also train their flexiblity and gymnastic abilities to create the best performance forms.
